I have only happy memories of Aunt Eva, my grandmother's sister.  Always the face of friendliness and laughter, and kindness to all around.

I learned about Eva's passing on Facebook from her grand-niece Sarah. My late husband, Michio Peter Hagiwara, first met Eva when he became friends with Vi and CJ Wilson (Eva's sister and brother-in-law) back in the mid 1950's, and then I met Eva and her family after marrying Pete in 1967. The last time I saw her was at Vi's 80th b.d. party in Blytheville, AR, close to 14 years ago. I'd lost contact with her but thought of her and Hope often and the others of Vi And CJ's family whom I had met years before. I still remember what a vivacious and outgoing person she was, so friendly and kind to Peter and me. I know she will be missed greatly by her children and grandchildren, as well as her nieces and nephews and their children, and of course by Hope. Love, Anne

Eva wrote & sang a gospel song years ago comparing prayer to calling God on a phone. She's got a direct contact now and what fun that conversation must be! Growing up around Tom & Eva and all the kids remains a treasure in my memories.  My sympathies & prayers for the family.

Eva prayed us into the neighborhood. We moved next to her and enjoyed her friendship. She will be missed.

Heaven is a wonderful place and if it is possible it has just been made better now that Eva has arrived. I will always remember all the aunts and uncles standing around the piano singing. I will miss my aunt and my friend but know that I will see her again. Love, Charlotte

It was with real sorrow that I heard about your loss. 

To lose such a special lady is a tragedy indeed; your Mother was so lovely. I will always cherish the last visit I had with her a couple of weeks ago.
  
Each of you was so special and cherished by her. We always brought each other up to date on our families when we visited. I seemed to always come to visit with her during her hair appointments, but that was pretty cool in a way, because it made the visit last longer!

I can't explain the special bond we shared, but it was real and steadfast, these forty years later. I felt her love from the very beginning, that I married into the family. I will never forget her smile and the twinkle in her eyes. 

I imagine that no matter how old we are, losing a mother has to be one of the deepest sorrows a heart can know.

May you take comfort in the knowledge that your beloved mother is in a place of utter peace and comfort, connected to you always by an imperishable love. 

May your memories of your Mom bring you strength from day to day, especially during these early days at this saddest of times,
