Florindia Kay Merry

Flo was born on Nov 7, 1960, in Kansas City, MO to Lester and Kathryn Sullins. She graduated from Penn Valley in 1990 with an LPN nursing degree. Flo married David Merry, whom she had met at work. She had one child, David Merry Jr and Flo set about teaching him to be responsible and a caring gentleman by working to put herself through nursing school while raising her son as a single parent. Her son remembers her as a generous, outgoing, and loving mother who encouraged him to pursue his goals. Flo was accomplished as a dedicated nurse that went above and beyond for her patients to provide the best care they deserved. She was a generous and dedicated individual who loved her family and friends and who was passionate about helping others, which led to her to becoming a nurse.

She is preceded in death by her father Lester Sullins. Flo is survived by her mother Kathryn Sullins of Warsaw, MO; brother Randy Sullins of Plattsburg, MO; sister Billie Jean Sullins of Clinton, MO; son David Merry Jr and wife Dellie of Parkville, MO; as well as several nieces.

A Visitation for Flo will be held Monday, October 24, 2022 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM followed by a Memorial Service at 3:00 PM at Newcomer's White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Road, Gladstone, MO 64119. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Flo’s life.
