

Frances was the beloved wife of Irvin L. "Irv" Magee for 59 years. She was the loving mother of Cynthia Magee, Teresa Huff (Mark), and Annette Cline (Dennis). Frances was the proud grandmother of 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was the sister of Karen Schwark and Wanda Ellis. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Frances attended the Research School of Nursing, where she earned her RN diploma. Throughout her career, she worked at NKC Hospital, Smithville Hospital, and St. Luke's on Barry Road.
An avid sports fan, she was a longtime Chiefs season ticket holder and enjoyed watching the Royals. She was also an active individual who enjoyed bowling and took up golf in her later years. Additionally, she enjoyed spending time at the casinos.
Frances enjoyed traveling with a few of her favorite trips being Alaska, Hawaii and Ireland. Additionally, she and her late husband Irvin, took all the grandkids to Disney World after they turned 5.
Most importantly, she was a dedicated supporter of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, rarely missing their sporting events. Her support even took her to out-of-state National tournaments for baseball and National Qualifiers in Volleyball with a National Volleyball tournament in 2008.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Service at White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Rd., Gladstone, MO 64119 on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at 1:00 PM with Visitation from 11:00 AM until service time. Committal Service will immediately follow the service at White Chapel Cemetery, Gladstone, MO. Donations may be made to Camp Systole in honor of Frances Magee, 111 N.
