Frank was born on July 17, 1937 in Hebron, NE to Francis and Elizabeth (Korte) Hergott, Sr. After graduating from Orleans High School, he joined the Air Force where he served from 1957 to 1961 as an Air Craft Mechanic. He then moved to Kansas City, MO to pursue a career with TWA and retired with American Airlines after over 40 years of service. Frank raised three children who remember him as a kind father who would do anything for anyone.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, formerly mentioned, and sisters, Rosie Phillips and Norma Carson.
Frank is survived by his three children, Richard (Mary) Hergott, David (Sarah) Hergott and Tina Hunt; and his granddaughters, Marissa, Alaina, Jessica, Elli, Claire and Maddi. He is also survived by his sisters, Ellie Applebee and Carolyn Barnhart, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Frank was proud to be an active member at Alcoholics Anonymous and was a sponsor to many. He often took meetings at the prison in Cameron, MO. He loved spending time outdoors hunting and fishing with friends and family.
Visitation will be held at McGilley Antioch Chapel, 3325 Northeast Vivion Road, Kansas City, MO 64119 from 12:00-2:00pm on Sunday, August 8, 2021, followed by a grave side service at White Chapel Cemetery in the Revelations Mausoleum, 6600 NE Antioch RD, Gladstone, MO 64119 from 2:30-3:00pm.
