Mr. Frank M. Otterman, 75, passed peacefully on October 21st. Frank was born on December 5th in Akron, OH to John L. Otterman and Marguerite (Rauch) Otterman. He graduated from University of Akron in 1969, where he was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity, with a degree in Business. Frank married Cheryl Ladick, his college sweetheart in 1967. After serving in the U.S. Army as a First Lieutenant from 1969 to 1971 he joined the Goodyear Tire and Rubber company. Over the next 3 years, the couple welcomed 2 children into their home and Frank set about teaching them the value of hard work, positivity and always acting with integrity. His boys remember him as a strong, big hearted, supportive Dad who encouraged them to pursue their goals. Frank was an accomplished sales leader whose business career spanned over 40 years and was a dedicated member of King of Kings Lutheran church. Frank was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) in 2012 and battled the debilitating disease with an amazing level of grace, selflessness and faith that inspired his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Frank is preceded in death by his sisters Grace Otterman, Doris Hahn, Linda Vaughn; his brothers Richard ‘Dick’ Otterman, Robert ‘Bob’ Otterman and his granddaughter Simone Otterman.
Frank is survived by his wife Cheryl; children Michael Otterman of Chattanooga, TN and Brian Otterman of San Diego, CA; granddaughters Jade Otterman, Kacey Otterman, Cali Otterman and his sister Janet Passeos of Akron, OH.

The family would like to thank the many neighbors of the Brookhill neighborhood, members of King of Kings church, the Administration of Veterans Affairs, the staffs at Seva and Home Instead and the local Fire Department for the care and support they provided Frank and his wife Cheryl.
