Gary Dale Minnis

Gary was born on April 22, 1946 to Claude and Lucille Minnis. He graduated from North Kansas City High School in 1964. He then began working for the Gas Service Company of Kansas City. In 1967, Gary served two years in the United States Army, stationed in Vietnam. He returned home in 1969 after receiving a Purple Heart for being wounded. He continued working for the Gas Service Company until he retired in 2007. Gary married Patricia in 1978. He enjoyed attending Liberty Assembly of God Church, and also volunteered with the Men’s Ministry building churches around the world, including Costa Rica, Ecuador, Alaska and Guatemala.

He is preceded in death by his parents Claude and Lucille Minnis and brother Ronnie Minnis.

Gary is survived by his wife Patricia Minnis; sister Donna; son Gary Dale Minnis, Jr.; daughters Denise, Sarah, and Carrie Lynn; four step-children Jeff, Paula, Christi and Melana; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and Havoc the dog.

A graveside service with Military Honors will be scheduled at a later date at White Chapel Cemetery.
