

Gary Lynn Myers, age 74, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away peacefully on January 5th, 2024 after a year long illness which he handled with dignity and grit. Gary was born on June 19th, 1949 to Earl and Helen (Miller) Myers in Knoxville, Tennessee. Gary's family moved to Kansas City when he was a young boy along with his older siblings Larry and Carolyn.
Gary met the love of his life, Nancy Ann Realph, at North Kansas City High School and they would later reconnect after both graduated from University of Missouri. The couple married on March 20th, 1976 and enjoyed nearly 47 years of marriage.
He worked for several companies in sales and marketing capacity before finding his true calling in education. Gary returned to school and earned his MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management. After obtaining his MBA, Gary worked as a faculty member at Keller and rose to become Keller's Kansas City campus president. He was a campus president for Everest College, Corinthian College and Fortis College until his retirement in 2021.
Gary and Nancy loved reading and had a large collection of books accumulated over many years. They were both wonderful conversationalists and could talk and laugh for hours on end about every topic imaginable. Gary was very outgoing and gregarious which contributed to his network of friends and his career success. Please remember him as someone who cared deeply about his friends and family and as someone who tried to bring joy to everyone he knew.
Gary was predeceased by his parents, siblings and beloved wife, Nancy.
Left to remember and celebrate Gary's life are his brother in law and sister in law Charles and Chris Baudoin; sister in law Cynthia Larson; nephews Dan Moxley, Doug Moxley, Chad Baudoin, Matthew Larson; nieces Christi Elton, Connie Odell, Kimberly Allan and Cara Brooner. Also left to remember Gary are many friends he amassed over the years.
White Chapel Funeral Home has the honor of providing arrangements and taking care of Gary and his family. Per his wishes, Gary was cremated, his ashes and Nancy's ashes will be spread at places that were special to them including Bar Harbor, Maine and Windyville, Missouri. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 13th at 11:00 AM at White Chapel Funeral Home 6600 NE Antioch Road, Gladstone, Missouri. All are welcome to attend.
