A visitation will be held on Saturday November 15, 2025, from 10-11 AM at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, located at 1600 Rte. 291, Liberty, MO 64068. This will be followed by a Celebration of Life at 11 AM in the chapel at the church.
Gayle was born on March 17, 1940, in Wahpeton, North Dakota to Lila and Harvey Loll. She graduated from Wahpeton High School in 1958, then went to St. Luke’s school of nursing in Fargo, North Dakota, and earned her R.N. In 1962, she married her high school sweetheart, Lyle Terrance (Terry) Lenzmeier. They were married for 49 years. They had a daughter, Terri Ann, and a son, Robert.
Gayle loved her nursing career and worked at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, West Allis Hospital in Milwaukee, Abbot Hospital in Minneapolis and North Kansas City Hospital in Kansas City. After working in hospitals, Gayle concluded her career working as a school nurse for 25 years in the North Kansas City School District.
Gayle enjoyed reading and gardening. She was a generous and loving individual who was a loyal friend to many. She was a longtime member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.
Gayle was proceeded in death by her parents and her husband, Terry.
She is survived by her daughter, Terri Ann Walker (Mark); son, Bob Lenzmeier (Mitzi); three grandsons, Austin Lenzmeier (Kayla), Tyler Walker, and Ryan Walker (Meg); two great grandchildren, Sutton and Wyatt Lenzmeier; Mitch Walker; and sister, JuleAnn Will (Orlin) of Fergus Falls, Minnesota, all of whom she loved dearly. She is also survived by many friends and her beloved cat, Peanut.
Donations can be made in memory of Gayle to the American Cancer Society or to the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of Terry, Gayle's husband.
Honorary pallbearers for the services are Tyler Walker, Ryan Walker, Austin Lenzmeier, Sutton Lenzmeier, and Wyatt Lenzmeier.
