She was born September 30, 1945 to Marshall, Jr. and Katherine Damerville in Des Moines, Iowa.
Gerry retired from JoAnn’s Restaurant after 25 years, then went to work for NKC School Dist. as a bus driver for 10 years as well as Smithville School Dist. and then Kearney School Dist. as a bus aid. Gerry was of the Christian faith and was blessed and grateful to her family for taking care of her for many years.
She enjoyed eating out at restaurants, going to the casino, and traveling.
Spending time with her grandchildren, family, and her dogs, Bella and Sophie were important to her.
Her family describes her as a sassy, out spoken gal with lots of love for family and friends.
Gerry was preceded in death by parents; her husband of 15 years, James Lane.
Survivors include her son, Mike Roberts; her daughter, Vicki (Mike) Garton; her sisters, Mary (David) Polson, Kathy Golightly, and Tracy Adamson; her brother, Mike Damerville; grandchildren, Cameron Vandiver and Chelsea Garton; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
