Dear Roberts Family,

I have had the honor of living near Ms. Gladys for almost 20 years.  

I am so sorry about the passing of Ms. Gladys.  I called her the "mama" of our neighborhood.  When she walked her dog, she always took time to talk to my mom and I.   I was so grateful for her awareness of who routinely enters my house when I traveled for work.  I knew she would call if something didn't seem right.  If she didn't see mom outside for a few days, she would contact me to see if everything was okay.

She was so excited for me when I got a dog a few years ago.  If she saw us as we walked by, Gladys would come outside to tell him what a good boy he is.....well, he is rotten, but I let her believe 😁.  

I am really going to miss your dear mom.  I am so grateful to have known her.  Peace to you all.
