The angels of our Heavenly Father took Gloria Lynn Becker, age 70, through the veil after a long illness to be joined with her parents Leo and Peggy Pisha, brother Don Pisha, and many other loved ones. Gloria grew up in Gladstone, Missouri and had resided at the Northland Rehabilitation and Care Center for the past eighteen months.
She graduated from Oak Park High School in 1969. After raising her daughter she worked at various places but her favorite was for the Kansas City School District driving a school bus which she had a great appreciation and love for the children.
Gloria had a great love for music, genealogy and serving her church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Before going into Northland Care Center she attended the River View Ward in the Independence Stake and then she became a member of the North Kansas City Ward in the Liberty Stake.
She is survived by her sisters Susan Huber and Dalene Reynolds, both of Gladstone, Missouri; daughter Tonya Bolinger (Mick); granddaughters Samantha Roy, Tiphany Lynch, grandson Jonathan Lynch; three great granddaughters and one great grandson, all of Wichita, Kansas.
Gary Lynch of Wichita, being a past member of the family stayed very close to Gloria through the years and brought her much joy and comfort.
Her beloved pet and companion was her dog Sammy for thirteen years.
She will be missed by her family and friends and our family appreciate all the love and compassion shown to her over her lifetime.
Family wishes to thank the administration and staff of Northland Rehabilitation and Care Center and Amedisys Hospice for the compassion and care they gave to Gloria.
