Greg was born on June 27, 1957 in Leavenworth, KS to Donald and Joyce (Naylor) Parrett. He graduated from Winnetonka High School in 1975 and received his Bachelor’s degree in accounting from UMKC in 1979. He was married to Rhonda Dunaway on August 25, 1979 in Lamar, MO.
He worked at his dad's service station in Claycomo from age 13 until he graduated from college. After graduating from UMKC, he went to work for Worlds of Fun as supervisor of Cash Control. He also worked for Camp Fire and Visiting Nurse Association. The last ten years of his career he was employed at North Kansas City Hospital as an assistant controller for home health.
His hobbies included playing the guitar, singing and photography-especially photos of nature. He played softball and loved all types of sports including, the Royals, Chiefs, Sporting KC, and KU Men's Basketball. He was active in the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church choir. His favorite vacation spot was Estes Park, Colorado. He loved, was loved by many and will be missed.
He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Parrett of Kansas City, MO; a son Chris Parrett of Kansas City, MO; sister Nancy Downing of Topeka, KS; brothers, Kent Parrett of Smithville, MO and Roger Parrett of Platte City, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
