She was born December 15, 1944, in Taft, California to Louis Heller Jr. and Nellie S (Schnaitman) Heller.
Gretchen graduated from Paseo High School in Kansas City. She worked at the Board of Trade in Kansas City, Missouri, and later in life volunteered in the Library at Franklin Elementary School in Liberty, Missouri.
She enjoyed visiting her friends in Liberty, Missouri and taking daily walks all times of the year. If you met Gretchen, you would never forget her. She always seemed to leave a lasting impression. She was a good person and devoted to her children.
Gretchen was preceded in death by her parents, Louis Heller Jr. and Nellie S (Schnaitman) Heller.
Gretchen is survived by her sons, Louis E. Simcoe (Jennie) and Robert A. Simcoe Sr. (Carol); her grandchildren, Robert A. Simcoe Jr. (Audra), Courtney L. Johnson (Cameron), and Tyler L. Simcoe; and her great-grandson, Cooper K. Johnson.
