

Harold Anthony Hake passed away on November 23, 2015. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Andrew the Apostle Church, Gladstone, MO, where the rosary will be said at 9:30 am, prior to Mass at 10 am, in the church. Burial in White Chapel Cemetery, Gladstone, MO. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Andrew the Apostle Church.
Harold was born October 12, 1923 in Montrose, MO to Herman and Clara Hake. He attended St. Mary’s Grade School, Montrose High School, and UMKC. He was a veteran of World War II in the U.S. Marine Corp from December 1942 to October 1945. He served in the South Pacific on Guam with rank of Staff Sergeant. He was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Msgr. Wogan Council and Council 3414. He was also a member of VFW Post 5606. He enjoyed blackjack, traveling, and wood carving. Many memorable items were made for family and friends.
Harold married Katey on December 27, 1947 and they enjoyed 68 years of wedded bliss. In retirement they traveled the world extensively. Harold retired from Ford Motor Co. Assembly Plant as supervisor Traffic Dept. He served there 35 years. He later became a real estate broker licensed in MO and also served on the Gladstone Planning and Zoning Commission. He was an usher for St. Andrew’s Church.
Survivors include his wife, Kathryn, and children, Kathleen Pinkham (Kelly), Rosalyn McKeague (Richard), James Hake (Sharon), Jacqueline Poeschl (Rick), eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He also leaves a sister, Maryan Jones (Olathe, KS).
