Polly was born on 6 January 1930 in Montreal (Camden County), MO to Earnest and Wilma Looney (Rogers).
Polly came to Kansas City in 1948 to study nursing. She was a nurse for 30 years, retiring in 1980. During her working years she was a member of the Mid-Continent Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association.
Polly enjoyed several crafts including sewing, cross stitching, and crochet, as well as painting. She was also a published poet.
Polly married Raymond Carlson in Lebanon, MO in 1946. They divorced in 1948. Polly was preceded in death by her second husband Dr Charles A Pignotti in 1962, and her third husband Detective Donald C Grasher in 2007, and a daughter Dottie J. Anderson (Carlson) in 2012.
Polly is survived by her son Mike Pignotti and wife Sandra, five grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. Three sisters, 1 brother and many nieces and nephews.
Polly would like to be remembered as a fun-loving and generous person who had a full and happy life. She was a devoted mother and loving and caring grandmother.
