James was born February 20, 1950 to James William Bales, Sr. and Betty Jean Bales in Gladstone, Missouri.
After James graduated high school, he went on to work for the Union Pacific Railroad for over 40 years. James married Rebecca (Kinzle) in April, 1970 and went on to have two sons, James and Randal.
He was preceded in death by his father, James. He is survived by his mother, Betty, his wife Rebecca, his two sons James (CJ), Randal (Sheree), 3 grandchildren (Jaedyn, Lane, and Dawson), his sister Ann (Kim), his brother Danny (Susan), his father-in-law Donald Kinzle, brothers-in-law Jim and Richard (Pam) and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Hope Fellowship Church, 8350 N. Conant Ave, Kansas City MO on April 22 from 1-4p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hope Fellowship Church, where James loved to serve and give of his time.
