James “Rocky” Bent passed away peacefully July 13, 2023. He was born March 23, 1947 in Kansas City, Missouri to James D. Bent and Mary Jo Smith. He is proceeded death by his parents and brother, Randy Bent. His is survived by his sister-in-law Denise (Flowers) Bent and his two nieces Emily (Bent) Wolkey and Leslie Bent.
He graduated from North Kansas High School in 1965 and worked until retirement at Missouri Gas Energy as a leak surveyor. In 1975 he married Nancy Powell until they parted in 1995. He later married Barbara Orlando in 1998 until they parted several years later.
Rocky was an avid pool player, enjoyed golf, and always loved having a dog. He also greatly loved seeing his nieces and was very proud of them.
