Jim was known at the Ford Plant in Claycomo as “Cookie”, where he retired in 2002, as a tow driver. During his career with Ford, he was a hard working dedicated employee who in all his years never took a sick day. He was a devoted father who put his family first. He was known for his whit and joking/humor. Jim enjoyed goose hunting, poker and celebrating holidays. The Family wishes to thank the special nurses and staff who shared the same demeanor and joking that Jim had.
Jim is preceded in death by Barbara A. (Harrison) Cook wife of 38 years and Kathleen F. (Smith) Cook wife of 10 years; sister, Mary Miller; and stepson, Shane Smith; and great stepson, TJ Binkley.
Survivors include his son, Jim (Susan) Cook; daughter, Vicky (Victor) Sims and Debi Cook; brother, Russell (Lyda Mae) Cook; stepchildren, Cindy Edwards, Bobby Smith, and Jeannie King-Smith ; grandchildren, Lindsay (Josh) Mustain, Victor Sims; Sarah Cook, Casey Cook, Sabrina Tackett; great
grandchildren, Jaden, Kayden, Chandler, Jaxson, Jameson, Blaze, Aubrianna, and Tylen; stepchildren, and numerous extended family members.
