Jannas Yvone Misenhelter, age 82, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on September 21, 2020 in the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Ronda. She was born in Pleasant Hill, Missouri on February 16, 1938. She resided in Kansas City, Missouri for 70+ years until her death.
Jannas was a former employee of Kresky’s and the NKC Bureau of Investigation. She loved collecting carousels and baking pumpkin bread. She was an avid George Jones and a fan of country music in general. She also enjoyed camping and Bar B Que family get togethers at her house.
She was preceded in death by her parents Francis and Walter Lawson; her daughter, Terri Jones; her husband Paul Misenhelter; her son Eric Misenhelter; her brother, Herb Lawson; and her sister, Connie Mosquera.
Jannas is survived by her two sons, Kenneth Jones and Jeff (Ronda) Misenhelter; her sister Thelma Steel; her best friend of 50+ years, Sandra Givens; eleven grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd at 2:00 PM at White Chapel Cemetery 6600 NE Antioch Rd., Gladstone, MO 64119. All are welcome to attend, masks are required.
