Jenifer "Jenny" S. Ellis

Jenifer (Jenny) Sue Ellis, 70, passed away March 2, 2015 in North Kansas City, MO. Jenny was born on January 13, 1945 in Kansas City, KS. She was the daughter of Francis F. Summers and Kathleen N. Murphy. She attended St. Pius X High School and went on to work for Southwestern Bell for 30 years until retirement. After retiring, she enjoyed spending time with her family, visiting the Lake of the Ozarks, square dancing and working part time for Northland Neighborhoods, Inc. Jenny didn’t know a stranger and treated everyone she met like family. She was preceded in death by her husband Rollin (Ron) Ellis; her parents; stepmother, Helen B. Summers and two of her step brothers, Michael Casey and Dennis Casey. She is survived by her beloved companion, Joe (Butch) Germer; daughter, Sherry Teer (Terry); granddaughter, Ashley Thompson (Kyle); great granddaughter, Rylee Thompson; aunt, Hazel Ford; brother in law, Bob Ellis; brother, Ron Summers (Jeannie); sister, Cherrie Carlson; step brothers, Richard Casey (Vicky), Robert Casey (Vicki), Tim Casey (Sharon); step sister, Donna Johnston (Ron), and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and other family members. Visitation will be held at White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO from 1-2:00 pm on Saturday, March 7th. Services will follow the visitation.
