Jerry was born on August 27, 1944 to Ervin “Bud” and Ethel Allwood in Maysville, MO. He lived most of his adult life in Kansas City, MO, where he worked many years in sales and the trucking/transportation industry. He spent four years in the National Guard and was a member of the Moila Shriners Drum and Bugle Corp., St. Joseph, MO.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Barbara; two children, Jody (Chuck) Light and Jason (Jennifer) Allwood, stepchildren Jeri (Randy) King, TJ Taranto; plus numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Larry Allwood, of Maysville, Missouri.
Jerry was a kind, soft-spoken man with a wonderful, wicked sense of humor. He will be sorely missed.
