Jerry Truman Lincks, 80, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2019 in Kansas City, Missouri.

He was born November 28, 1938 to Boots and Juanita Lincks in Van Buren, Arkansas. Jerry lived life to the fullest right up to the moment it was taken away. He was a US Navy Veteran, was incredibly devoted to his family and was one of the hardest working men you would find, still working full time into his eighties. He also loved to pick his guitar and had an extensive collection of all kinds of music. On any given weekend, he and his wonderful wife Brenda could be found at a concert or some other fun adventure. Wherever he went he brought a mischievous smile, bright blue eyes and genuine interest in others with him.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of nearly 52 years, Brenda, his brother Tom, as well as five children, Gerald (Maren), Cherie, Brian, Sheila and Debbie, five grandchildren, Jesse, Shawn, Lucas, Lana and Brian Jr, eight great grandchildren, Lily, Stella, Ava, Tessa, Aspen, Briana, Makayla and Eva.

Brenda and Jerry were my neighbors when I was between 10-18 years old. They would invite me over for mac and cheese dinner night served with sweet tea while my parents were working. They also made sure I had a safe place to go to during tornado warnings, etc. I always saw them as a warm and loving family and enjoyed hanging out at their house with Debbie. They took pictures of me for proms and of me in band during Brian’s football games when my mom had to be at work. They sent me off to college with new towels and linens. Our families rode motorcycles together, too. They made me feel apart of their family. Jerry was a wonderful example of a loving husband and father. I will always have a special place in my heart for both Brenda and Jerry. All my love and prayers, Dee Dee
