Jesse was born on September 23, 1970 in South Dakota to Lawrence Eckes and Peggy Roy.
Jesse was married twice and had 3 children , Jaden, Jasmine and Bradley. He is survived by a brother, Jason Eckes and 2 sisters Amanda "Mandi" Dunbar and Laura Mehaffey. He has several nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews. His beloved niece, Brittanie Eckes thought of him as a second father.
Jesse was a survivor! He moved all around the country getting by on his witt. He made a lot of dear friends on his journey who will remember him for his humor and kindness. He spent the last decade or so in Missouri where he married and lost his wife Lisa to a tragic car accident. He was an active and dedicated member of Hope and Faith Ministries where the director said, "Jesse was their eyes and ears of the street and helped them as much as they helped him."
He is preceded in death by his mother Peggy Jo Roy of Bowling Green, Kentucky; wife Lisa of Missouri; and maternal grandparents Ernest and Edna Roy of Russell Springs, Kentucky.
A Service will be held at 10:00am, March 3, 2023 at Hope Faith Ministries 705 Virginia Ave, Kansas City, MO 64106.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Hope Faith Ministries in Jesse's honor.
