She was the Matriarch of our family for many years and amazingly met God's purpose in life with intensity and passion.
Jessie was born June 7, 1927 and grew up through the time of depression. After graduating from Wyandotte High School in 1945 she spent time as a school teacher. She raised a family as a single mom during a time when that was not the norm. She ran her own business for many years doing income taxes and made countless friends through her work. Later she took on the EPA when she worked for the government exposing fraud and corruption. After she retired she moved to the Ozarks to tend 12 acres and enjoyed her time there greatly although it was tough work. Eventually she returned to Kansas City to be close to family and friends and to spend much time with grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Jessie was preceded in death by her parents, James Marion Linch and Blanche Linch; her brother, Orville Linch; her sister, Mildred Keele; two infant sisters, Freda Fern and Mable Jane; and one granddaughter.
Survivors include her brother, Claude Linch; her sister, Eilene Griffen; her daughters, Lorrie Oldham and Judy Searcy; her son, Kevin Johnson; seven grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.
