

James (Jim) E Wade born on June 22, 1941 in Maltabend , MO at home, to Mother Bertha Wade and Father Pheno Wade. Jim had one older brother, J.R., who preceded him in death as well as both parents. He had one older sister, Arline Brochars of Marshall, his baby brother, Larry Wade, of Camdenton, MO, as well as many nieces and nephews great and great greats.
Jim married five times. One son from first wife Kit, James K Wade of Texas and fiance, Julie Huffman.
In his second marriage to Sherly, he got another son, Allen Wade of Georgia.
His third wife, Pat, who precedes him in death, had two more boys, Ron Johnson of Kansas and Danny Johnson; and a baby girl, Patty Lynn Wade/Guyles and her husband Earl Guyles, their son Christopher Gyules and his wife Megan Guyles.
With his fourth wife, Cindy, who precedes him in death, he gained her nephews, Adam and Chad, from Tom Stephen's.
His fifth and final wife, Janet of Kansas City, gained him another young son, Ryan Stewart (21). Janet's children whom he loved as if they were his own, Kim Glidewell (52) of Liberty, MO, Brian Bowman (49) who precedes him in death, Monnie Delana (48) of Laclede, MO, and Raymond Delana (46) of Marceline, MO. Jim is survived by numerous grandchildren, great and great-great-grandchildren. Derek Bowman forever age 2. The amount of people that called him Dad.
Jim was a farmer's son, so he did chores before school. He always believed if you could read, you could teach yourself to do anything. He loved to make people smile. He appreciated a beautiful sunrise and sunset. He went to Maltabend for all grades until graduation. He moved to Kansas City and started working in the school of hard-knocks. He worked in many factories, including Ford Motor Company for forty four years.
Jim loved C.B.radio aka kcfatman, archery, pool league, small engine repairs, fishing, trains, and tractors pulls. Jim Wade never met a stranger, just a friend he had not met yet. He always told us let go and let God. He studied with the witnesses and we sure appreciated them praying with us as he was going and gone.
Janet Wade thank you for everything. You made him smile and took care of a great man. You are a great woman.

Visitation will be held at White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO 64119, on May 7, 2026, at 1:00 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 pm. Jim will be laid to rest in White Chapel Cemetery.
