He was born September 25, 1957, in North Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Howard William and Mary Ann (Greening) King.
John worked at Townsend Communications and Mail Print. He loved sports. He played baseball and bowled. He received many trophies for his outstanding sportsmanship. John loved going to tournaments and most of all, he loved the friends he met along the way. His favorite teams were the Royals, the Chiefs, and the MU Tigers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Mary Ann King.
John is survived by two sisters, Cheryl (Mike) Martin from Kearney, Missouri and Linda (Larry) Bybee from Kansas City, Missouri; four nieces; seven great nieces; three great nephews; and one great-great niece.
A Celebration of Life will be held for John on Friday, February 2, 2024 at 5:00 PM, at Chandler Baptist Church, 11401 MO-33, Liberty, Missouri, 64068.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the ALS Society or to Chandler Baptist Church.
