John F. McDonnell, III was born on February 22, 1946 in Kansas City, KS to the late Dr. John and Rose McDonnell. He passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 in North Kansas City, MO. John was 80 years old.
John is survived by his wife, Karen McDonnell, sons, John McDonnell IV and Aaron McDonnell. Siblings Mary Linda McDonnell, Tom McDonnell (Becky), Dr. Richard McDonnell (Dr. Beverly Ketel), and Anne Musson (Scott).
Relatives and friends are invited to the Evening Visitation at White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Rd., Gladstone, MO 64119 on Monday, September 21, 2026 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at 10:30 AM with Visitation from 10:00 AM until service time.
