Jon Keith Hubbard of Liberty, MO was born February 3, 1940 and passed away on October 13, 2025. He was the youngest son of George and Ida Marie Hubbard. Jon graduated from Northtown High School in 1958 where he played baseball, football and basketball. He attended William Jewell College where he joined Sigma Nu fraternity and played baseball for one season. He married Eva “Kelly” Davis on November 25, 1961. Drafted into the Army in May 1963 he served at Boblingen, Germany playing baseball and football for troop entertainment. Upon leaving the Army, he worked for Builders Steel in North Kansas City until his good friend Troy McConnell convinced him to join him at his new company, McConnell and Associates, where he worked for 40+ years doing asphalt paving and maintenance. After retirement, he and Kelly split their time between Kansas City and Naples, FL. Jon was a member of the Elks Lodge #2376, Moose Lodge #1782, and Hornets of Yesteryear. He was an avid sports fan and would watch any sport that was on TV, but his favorites were the Chiefs, Royals and Jayhawks.
Jon was preceded in death by his parents George and Ida Marie Hubbard, half-sisters Marie Street and husband Frank, Dorothy Chirafisi and husband James, half-brother Roy and wife Sally Hubbard and sister Peggy Hubbard.
Jon is survived by his wife, Eva “Kelly” Hubbard of Liberty, MO; sons Ron (Jacki) Hubbard of Sandwich, IL and Don (Cindy) Hubbard of Kansas City, MO, and daughter Amanda (Jason) Herman of Kansas City, MO; three granddaughters, Caitlin (David) Cox, Brooke (Jesus) Escalante, and Marissa Hubbard; three great-grandchildren, Lillian Cox, and Elia and Oliver Escalante all of Kansas City, MO; and his sister, Barbara June Diment, of Overland Park, KS and many more friends and extended family.
Visitation will be held at White Chapel Funeral Home, located at 6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO 64119, on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The following Thursday, October 16, 2025 a funeral service will take place at 1 PM. Burial will take place at Old Union Cemetery, 17990 N Union Rd, Lawson, MO 64062.
