Joseph Vincent Re', born July 22, 1945, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on Thursday, June 26, 2025. He leaves behind his forever loving wife, his devoted children and grandchildren, brothers Mike and Ron, sisters Julie and Vicki. He also leaves behind his loving granddog, Ruby.
Joe loved to cook out and was an outstanding "chef." He loved creating his Italian dishes for everyone to enjoy. He and his son, Anthony would often participate and judge BBQ competitions and at times would have their own culinary competitions between them.
Joe's love and loyalty to his family and friends was above reproach. He has touched so many lives.
Joe had the creative and blessed gift of making beautiful rosaries. These rosaries were given to priests, family and friends. His first accomplishment of making these rosaries was for his prayer group, an identical rosary for each man. He was in the hospital many different times and would often call me and ask me to bring him more of his rosaries. These were given to doctors, nurses, and anyone who came in and saw his prayer book and rosaries. He would often say, I am doing this for Our Lady. He also had a strong devotion to St. Joseph and had a beautiful grotto built in his front yard, honoring St. Joseph. He would throughout his life hand out books on "The Life of St. Joseph." After he first read the book, he knew the power that it had in opening hearts to St.Joseph and the Holy Family. If he met someone, even someone doing work in his home, and they were catholic, he would give them a book. This will be Joe Re's legacy and his love and belief that nothing happens in your life, good or bad without the knowledge of God, Our Loving and Merciful Heavenly Father.
Our hearts are broken for our loss, but we know he is surrounded by a pure love that we could never ever match here on earth and THAT knowledge will continue to bring us comfort and support.
We honestly don't know how to say anything more about this exceptional man, except that when he died, we are sure Our Lady and St. Joseph welcomed and embraced him. The family would like to thank a dear friend and family member, Dr. John Ciliberti for his overwhelming generous and well connected help for Joe throughout his illness. He considered John to be a great blessing and gift from God. Also to dear family members Gil Fiene who has always supported Joe. John Amaro who generously came to our home to give Joe his haircuts and only accepting our thanks and prayers.
