Joshua Aaron Vallier, 29, of Kansas City North, Missouri passed at home with his dog Lux by his side. He resided there with his roommate Erin Wilson. We have not received autopsy reports back as of yet, however, we do believe this was due to the heroin epidemic. Josh has struggled for years with depression and the bottom line is addiction is PAIN. Pain to be accepted as God made him. Thankfully through the assistance of Valley Hope, Josh was able to find God and learn that, our God is a loving God and will not judge him for how God himself made him.
Celebration of Life, at White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO 64119 from 12:00 to 2:00; 1:30 Words of Love will be spoken on Joshua's behalf.
Joshua was a graduate of Kearney High School in Kearney, Missouri. He attended MU his first year of college. Joshua just completed his ONE YEAR anniversary at Alliance Data in Lenexa, KS. A few days before his passing he was finally able to work from home. Josh struggled without a car and rode the KC Metro bus 4 hours a day to keep his job. Weekends the bus does not even go to Johnson County and he fought hard and conquered this. He excelled at his job and scored in the top 3 to 8 percent monthly. He also made very close friends Jacqulynn Morrow and Brittany Evans. Joshua worked at Pete & Mac's previously, and loved his job working with the dogs. He was given his dog Lux by a customer when she was six months old, Lux had been brought in every day since she was a baby. Lux was his soul mate dog, and was always by his side until his last breath.
Joshua's passions included video games, eating pizza and chocolate, cooking and making midnight bakery items, Games of Thrones, music and his nonstop love of animals. Alongside his mom, Josh helped rescue, groom, foster, train, and dog-sit; always opening his heart to any animal in need. He helped train service dogs and attended many NAWS events.
Joshua was comforted by visiting therapy dogs when he himself was impatient. He talked of the joy they brought, and always talked of doing this with Lux. In Joshua’s honor we are starting a nonprofit to bring comfort dogs to those in need of some love, feeling pain, or just needing a paw to get through. Our hope is to spread love and healing to those in need.
When we have talked in the past of our own wishes upon passing, Josh said that he would want his service to be filled with dogs and he also wished for his remains to put in a plant and shared by all.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother Jacqueline Vallier, great grandmother Irene Vallier, great grandfather Aloysius Vallier, his uncle Rick Marshall and stepfather Stephen Hildebrecht.
Left behind are his mother Yvette Vallier, father Tracy Vallier, sister Cassandra Vallier, brother Dillon Manley-Hildebrecht, grandfather Lyle Vallier, grandparents Billie and Louis Zieske, uncle Paul Zieske, aunt Valerie Vallier, uncle Jerry Rouse, many wonderful cousins, Aimen Zieske, Chandler Norris, Chloe Zieske, Elijah Zieske, Shawnte Rouse, Christina Morris, La Tosha Garcia and many more second cousins. His very best friend that never, ever gave up on him Shannon Moore, his roommate Erin Wilson, and his soulmate Lux.
Joshua had the largest heart to help others. His intelligence and sense of humor were a unique combination, he would say things that dumbfounded you and made you laugh and to try and have a comeback in a debate was hard.
Joshua’s sister, Cassi was his closest person in life and they shared a bond that is indescribable. He told her, no matter what, you are my favorite F*cking person in the world. The love was unconditional and the two of them together was always a happy time with lots of silly faces and antics when Mom would try to ever get a photo.
Joshua was always by his mom's side; helping her in every endeavor with dogs, even holding her hand when she got stitches on her face from a dog bite. He helped her with her back issues, and through every medical procedure; caring for her on a nonstop basis, always lifting things and making sure she was ok all the time with her disability. He was a truly loving and compassionate son and the bond is undeniable and could not have been closer.
Joshua had a very close set of best friends from the day he was born and throughout their childhood. Kayla and Farrell were his bestest buds, three days apart and they always said, they were going to get married. Some other close friends were Jonathon Stewart, Donnie Niehouse, Cody Mike, Dillon Mike, Logan Boone and Dillon Boone, Danielle and MIchael Kirkpatrick/Cason, Ray Dunn, This group of kids were always together.
In Joshua’s honor we are starting a nonprofit to help others in their time of need with dogs to comfort, bring solace, unconditional love and acceptance to anyone in need. This will honor Josh and we invite all who want to be a part of this help share this love through dogs to humans.
We are all one and need to support each other, not only in our worst times, we need to remind others we are never alone. There is a village of people who love you, even in your darkest days when your brain can lie to you and tell you otherwise.
WE ARE ALL LOVED.
JOSHUA IS LOVE.
