

She was born on December 15, 1938, in rural Clinton County, Missouri, to Joseph H. Daniels and Ruby Fern (Porter) Daniels. Judy graduated from Lathrop High School with the Class of 1956.
In 1966, Judy began her career with the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City as an executive secretary. Her dedication and talent quickly led to advancement, and she became the first woman to work in the bank’s vault. Demonstrating exceptional aptitude, she later passed a rigorous logic examination that opened the door to training as a computer programmer. After completing two years of in-house training, Judy continued to excel, earning multiple promotions throughout her career. She retired in 1998 as a Senior Systems Programmer and Analyst.
Judy was actively involved in numerous clubs and organizations over the years starting with 4-H Club as a child. She was on the Weatherby Lake City Council, Planning Commission and their Improvement Company Board. She is also a member of Eastern Star. Later in life Judy developed a deep passion for genealogy.
She was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Mayflower Society, Colonial Dames 17th Century, and GFWC Patrician Club. A devoted member of Parkhill Christian Church, she faithfully watched services online each Sunday.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Fern Daniels, and her husband, John Davenport.
Judy is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Lee Anne Huett; granddaughter, Natalie Huett; great-granddaughters, Maeve Huett and Athena Huett; sister, Marti (James) Danielsen; brother, Joe P. Daniels; and niece, Dr. Erica (Dr. Howard Skogman) Johnson.
Celebration of Life will be held for Judy at 10:30 AM, on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Road, Gladstone, Missouri, with committal to follow in the White Chapel Cemetery.
