

She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and strength, forever cherished by those who were lucky enough to know her.
Karyn is survived by her beloved spouse, Brian K. Hilt Sr.; her devoted daughter, Emma R. Hilt; her other adored children, Brian K. Hilt Jr. and Salena M. Hilt. She also leaves behind her dear mother, Jean A. Louderback; her older brothers, Steve R. Louderback and John R. Louderback. Along with her sister-like cousin, Laura J. Cates, and her lifelong best friend, Jennifer J. Shelton, both standing by her side through thick and thin, sharing a bond that will never be forgotten.
She was preceded by her father, Ray R. Louderback and her older brother, Richard W. Louderback.
Karyn dedicated 30 years of her life working at MacTac as a Warehouse Coordinator, where her hard work, determination, and leadership were recognized by all who worked alongside her. Her coworkers knew her as the backbone of the operation, someone who could be relied upon in every situation.
Outside of work, Karyn had a deep love for travel, with cruises holding a special place in her heart. The ocean was her sanctuary, where she found peace and joy in discovering new and gorgeous destinations. Those who had the privilege of traveling with her were uplifted by her infectious enthusiasm, which brought joy and light to every adventure.
Karyn’s sweet soul and caring nature left a profound impact on those around her. Whether with family, friends, coworkers, and even strangers Karyn had a unique ability to leave a lasting impression with her kindness and warmth. She was always there with a helping hand, a listening ear, or a comforting word. She had many life lesson quotes but she was known for her signature phrase, “This too shall pass,” she was a source of strength and comfort to those facing challenges, always reminding them that tough times wouldn’t last forever.
In her passing, Karyn’s spirit lives on, and she takes flight as a beautiful dragonfly—her guiding totem in the afterlife. Just as the dragonfly embodies transformation, adaptability, and lightness of being, Karyn’s essence will forever remain with her loved ones, watching over them with grace and serenity. Those whom she touched in this lifetime will continue to feel her presence, like the dragonfly’s delicate wings, offering quiet comfort and a reminder of her enduring strength.
Her warmth, wisdom, and love will continue to shine through the lives of her family and friends. Karyn was truly one of a kind, and her memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of kindness and resilience will forever live on. She will be deeply missed but most certainly never forgotten.
