My sadness and condolence to any of Kathryn's family. Kathryn was the Live of my Life-- we dated all 4 years at Indiana University, Boomington. She was bright, energetic, and a fighter --despite all her circumstances. I love you forever Kathryn!

Katheryn was a blessing. She was not only invaluable in helping me understand my sister when Betty was diagnosed as bi-polar, she was amazing in her self-awareness of how to articulate boundaries she needed to set to remain healthy. I remember once being frustrated in a phone conversation, and rather than her letting me hang up, she stressed how much our relationship meant to her, and convinced me to stay and help her understand MY feelings! That is so generous coming from someone who was too often misunderstood by others. She was a beautiful soul, and I remember laughing hard when we watched "Meet the Parents" together, and making tea and finger sandwiches with her and David when staying with them over the holidays. We embarrassed her by starting a Christmas carol sing-along in a restaurant before attending Christmas Eve worship, yet she loved Paul and me anyway and every Christmas we knew we had family who wanted us. I miss her, but am certain she is rounding up all God's furry friends in heaven for the ultimate petting party! God bless you Kathryn—my life is richer because you were in it!

Was blessed to have know Kathryn as a fellow hospice volunteer.  She will be missed by many.  RIP Kathryn. 

I worked with Kathryn at the library.  She was always so kind and eager to help others. My deepest sympathies to her friends and family during this time. 

Kathryn and I worked at the library together. Kathryn was a hard worker and always got done what needed to be done. She was always so nice to me and asked how I was doing every time we worked together. Kathryn will be missed at the library. My thoughts and prayers go out to family and friends. 

Kathryn and I met at a Christian singles group and upon our first meeting, she offered to help me learn to swim.  We never got around to my swimming lessons, but had many other adventures.  She was kind and compassionate, always looking to help others and find the best in every situation.  She doted on her girls, Emmaline and Grace, and recently her fish Carlin as well.  Kathryn was the best dog mom I have ever known.  She always had a kind word and was so appreciative of any small kindness shown her.  I will miss our adventures, phone calls, and her sweet laugh.   Rest in peace dear friend.

Kathryn and I worked at the library together. She was a great person always willing to help and do what needed to be done. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family. She will be missed.

I had the pleasure of knowing Kathryn for probably over 20 years. She was kind enough to share herself and her dogs with people who were terminal or kids who have gone thru a significant loss. She knew her dogs brought joy, peace and grounded those that were struggling. She lovingly called me The Boss as I worked with her as she volunteered at KC Hospice & Crossroads. She never said a harsh word or complained. She always tried her best to be there, be helpful and support others. She had struggles, but always worked hard keeping faith, always searching for the positive, and always grateful for the connections and the people in her life. She was so proud of her Women's Employment Network completion and getting back into the workforce. No home project was too big for Kathryn,  despite the learning curve. She was excited and felt accomplished trying new things. I find her passing so sad. She was too young and her zest for life will be missed. Peace to you dear Kathryn, your dogs, your friends and family.

Kathryn and I shared the same first name and that was one of our first connections followed with good memories and a very special sisterhood! Kathryn you left us way too soon! I will always hold you in my heart. You inspired me in so many ways. You were so smart, funny, wise, creative, loving, caring, strong and gutsy! We met many years ago and each had our journeys and then a year ago with the help of Facebook - pouf back in each other's lives! What a blessing this last year was! Truly I will miss you but know Dear Sister we will meet again! I will not forget you! Prayers and Sympathy to your family and friends who loved and supported you in big and small ways!
