Ken was born July 20, 1933 in Mt. Moriah, Missouri to Alva and Madge Fitzpatrick. He was the 3rd of 10 children. He spent his youth on a farm in rural Northern Missouri. A few years after graduating from high school, he joined the United States Navy where he served honorably. Following his discharge in 1957, he returned to his family farm and shortly thereafter moved to Kansas City to find employment. While working, he met his future wife, Lois Regan, and her son Michael. Ken and Lois were married on August 30th, 1963. Their daughter Karin was born in 1967, and Ken then moved his family to Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1970. Their daughter Lisa joined the family in 1972. The Fitzpatricks moved back to Missouri in 1976 and took residence in Gladstone, Missouri. After a long and fulfilling career in the Life Insurance industry, Ken retired in 1990 as a Vice President of Underwriting at IAC Group. His passion for helping others did not stop there. Throughout his retirement, Ken volunteered as an active member of the Silver Haired Legistrature, a Medicare/Medicaid advocate for other seniors, as well as an active member of the Northland Mission Church.
