Born on July 19, 1953, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Kenneth Lee Fox Sr. and Jo Ann Crawford, Kenny was the second oldest of four siblings. He spent his youth in the Kansas City area and proudly graduated from Oak Park High School with the Class of 1971.
On July 24, 1980, Kenny married the love of his life, Donna. Together, they celebrated 45 wonderful years of marriage and raised their son, Kenneth Lee Fox III.
A hardworking man with a strong sense of tradition, Kenny followed in his father’s footsteps as a third-generation member of the Pipefitters Union Local 533. He dedicated 54 years of his life as an active member to his trade, earning the respect of all who worked alongside him. Never one to truly sit still, Kenny’s “retirement” simply meant taking on a new passion: owning and operating a fully functioning cattle farm. An avid outdoorsman, he was always happiest when he was outside, surrounded by nature, his cows, and his dogs.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Sr. and Jo Ann, and his brother, Benny Fox.
Kenny’s legacy of hard work and love for his family lives on through his wife of 45 years, Donna; his sisters, Stephanie Sawyer, Debbie Claussen and her husband Herm Claussen; his son, Kenny Fox III; his six grandchildren, Rachel, Kimberly, Hunter, Lucas, Payton, and Gunnar; and his three great-grandchildren, Samuel, Michael, and Parker.
The Fox family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the nursing staff at Northcare Hospice House. The kindness and compassionate care they provided to Kenny and his family during his final days will never be forgotten.
A Celebration of Life to honor Kenny will be scheduled and announced at a later date.
