Kimberly married John Vaca in Kansas City, Missouri on September 9, 1989. This union was blessed with one daughter and one son creating the perfect family.

Her Favorite place to visit, though, was Las Vegas with her best friend Tracie Rodriquez, where the pair would sit for hours on end laughing and winning jackpots frequently. Kim was also an animal lover who would go out of her way to pet any dog, cat, rabbit and anything else she could love on.
She is preceded in death by her father Jim Slatten, and her step brother, Pete Cuezze.
Kimberly is survived by her husband John Vaca, of the home; her daughter Kelsey Vaca; son Brandon Vaca; parents Nick and Mary Cuezze; sister Kelly Surprise; nieces, Olivia Kettering , Angela Mancuso and nephews Gary Lee McCoy, Pete Cuezze, Vince Cuezze, and Nick Cuezze
