Larry Weakley, age 75, of Liberty, MO went to be with our Lord on Thursday September 22, 2016. Visitation will be on Monday September 26, 2016 from 10-11 AM with a Celebration of Life at Liberty United Methodist Church, 1001 Sunset, Liberty, MO. beginning at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Heart Assoc., Liberty United Methodist Church, where he was a member, or a charity of your choice.
Born April 27, 1941, Larry was the son of Jack and Pauline Weakley. He graduated from North Kansas City High School, is an Eagle Scout and a warrior in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say, attended college, was certified in Inventory Production Control, resided in Liberty, MO for many years and worked 26 years for Whitaker Cable/Murphy Industries prior to retirement. Larry was a heart transplant recipient on September 18, 1994.
Survivors include his wife, Jane and sons, Mike Wilson (Jennifer) and Steve Wilson (Mandy), along with brother, Steve Weakley. Grandchildren include Brandlyn Barker (Jason), Justin Weakley (Kelsey), Lane Martin (Heidi), Tristan, Blake, Kaylee and Janie Wilson, plus two great grandsons. His parents and father-in-law, Roy Thomas, preceded him in death. He leaves behind his mother-in-law, Margaret Thomas, who he accepted as his second mother.
