Laura graduated from Highland Park High School in 1971 and then married the greatest love of her life, Barry Weikel, on July 22, 1972. They traveled for U.S.A.F. until he retired.
Laura leaves behind 2 wonderful children, Jodi and Christopher, and was blessed with 3 grandsons, Travis, J.T. and Kaien. She had a brother, Stuart Simpson and a sister, Jane Hossfeld, with all the memories growing up. She grew up playing sports. The most loved sport was fast pitch softball. She was a proud tomboy. Also, she will never forget all the many memories with cousins, oh the good times, and her nieces and nephews too, although she was away mostly, but did have some good times.
Laura's friends are all over this great country and she could never pick one best friend, they were all best friends.
Whether you are friend or family, Laura leaves many thanks for all the wonderful memories and she felt truly blessed.
