Hard to believe it's been a year.  I love and miss you so much, Mom.

I remember Lauren as a caring, loving woman. She always welcomed me in her home, while spending more time there than at my house,  and didn’t really ever get tired of me hanging around. She was a pet lover and those 2 dogs, Daisy & Cooter were spoiled more than us kids were. She was always cooking and fed me more than my fair share over the years. Except for that cabbage and corned beef I remember her making on St. Patrick’s Day every year. It would stink up the whole house and I wouldn’t touch that stuff. 
My deepest condolences go out to you Tom & Jackie and your families. I loved her like a mother and she will be missed tremendously. Forever in our hearts and never forgotten.  Love you all!! 

I'll always remember your mother as a lady who made everyone feel welcome,  and who always knew just what to say.  Please know that her spirit is still alive in you both. I Love you Tommy and Jackie.

Pug was our sister-in-law. We will never forget her laugh. 

We recall the New Year’s Eve many, many years ago that we were playing games and having a BLAST! We didn’t know until well after midnight that we weren’t going to get home. It had iced and snowed. We all slept over. Such a good time with the family.

We remember all the Thanksgivings and Christmases with the family and all the kids running around. We miss those days...a lot.

Tommy (you’ll always be Tommy to us) and Jackie, we love you. Your mom was so dedicated to her children. We remember her as a mother bear who would protect her children no matter what. She loved you with everything in her. 

Heaven gained another angel and we will see her again. 

Lauren was a loving and hardworking woman.  She loved her children and would do  anything for her friends.  She would take my aunt Kathy to work everyday with her when no one else would.  They worked together for quite a while.  My condolences go out to her family.  She will be missed. All my thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

I remember her as our sitter during the summer when we were young. My brother Rick set a mouse lose in the house to scare her.  Our mom would buy a bag of candy for all of us to share and she would give us all one or two pieces and keep the rest in her purse.  She was a very loving and caring big sister.  Most of all I remember her always being there. The one visit she went to the local bar with us when my husband's band was playing and she had a ball dancing to Kansas City.  I will miss her so much, most of all her laugh. May you finally have peace and live without pain. I love you sis!

This is one of the few pictures with us all together. This was Scott's going away party before he went to the military. 

Lauren cared about people. As a friend to both her son and daughter, she always made me feel welcome in her home. Our families didn't have much growing up, but we had each other and Lauren always welcomed me to their home and table. When I was in their house I felt like family, and when I think of Lauren I am reminded of her generosity and caring nature that was perfectly mixed with the self confidence of a strong woman who spoke her mind and did so when it needed to be done. If Lauren told me I was in the wrong, there was little doubt that I needed to listen up. She raised two great kids and her son Thomas was a major positive role model in my life and career, I believe I owe both Thomas and Lauren a great debt which I can never repay. Saying she will be missed feels like an understatement when the world desperately needs more women like Lauren. My condolences to Jackie and Tom, you and your family are in my thoughts.

Too many and yet not enough memories.  She moved away when I was 3 so when we visited we had to cram in as much fun as we could. She was always laughing at me and even seemed to have a giggle in her voice when she said my name. 


I've know Tommy since around 1981 and met Lauren soon there after along with Jackie. We were so close as kids and practically grew up together like Brothers and Sisters. Lauren was like everyone's Mom when we would come over. She never complained and often joined in on the conversations or just laughed at our stupid jokes or outfits.  That laugh is what I miss most of all. She had a great sense of humor and loved her kids with everything.  She opened up her home because of them to allow all of us to bond and have an everlasting relationship that is still happening today.  I will forever be grateful for Lauren allowing me to hang out at her home and be around her amazing family growing up. As I became an adult I saw Lauren less and less but when I would see her I couldn't help but grab her and hug her and tell her how much I love and miss her. All of our gang growing up had great women in our lives and Lauren was right up there.  She will truly be missed and my heart goes out to her family.
