Lester Dwight “Bud” Kelly, age 78, passed away on May 6, 2023, at North Kansas City Hospital after a long illness. In his retirement years, he lived in Gladstone, Missouri, near where he grew up with his five siblings, Sharon, Kathy (McBride), Doris (Stevenson), Bob and Tim Kelly and parents, Lester and May Kelly. He attended Kearney Bible Church in Kearney, Missouri, where his brother Bob, now deceased, was active.
Previously he lived in Los Angeles, California, and Phoenix, Arizona where he had a long career in sales and where he was able to pursue his love of golf. He graduated from North Kansas City High School in 1963 and later attended Southwest Missouri State College before making the move to California.
He is preceded in death by his son, Jeff.
A memorial service for Bud will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 12, at Kearney Bible Church, 15019 Clear Creek Drive, Kearney, Missouri.
