Linda Elaine Chastain-Burris, a beloved mother, wife, and friend. Born on November 17, 1945, Linda lived a life defined by an unwavering devotion to her family and a spirit characterized by gentleness and grace.
Linda found her greatest joy in the simple beauties of life and the deep, enduring connections she shared with those around her. This love for connection was most evident in her passion for genealogy and family history. She spent countless hours tracing the threads of her lineage, ensuring that the stories and legacies of those who came before were never forgotten.
Her creativity was a gift she shared freely. An accomplished crafter and seamstress, Linda’s hands were rarely still. Whether she was meticulously sewing a garment or working on a new craft project, her work was a reflection of her patience and her eye for beauty. These handmade treasures remain as physical reminders of the warmth and care she stitched into every piece.
While her passing leaves a void, her loved ones take comfort in knowing she is now reunited with her beloved husband Lloyd Franklin Chastain, her parents, Charles Elwood (Shorty) Duzan & Mary Ellen Anderson and her three siblings, Roy Ellwood Duzan, Catherine Ellen Duzan and Donna Marie Booher who preceded her in death.
As a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Linda taught her family the value of kindness and warmth.
Her legacy isn't just in the years she lived, but in the deep connections she fostered and the quiet strength she modeled for every generation that followed her.
