Lois was born on July 17, 1942 in Altoona, PA to Russell and Florence Faust. She graduated from Bedford High School as a member of the Junior Honor Society in 1960. Lois married Gene in 1961. Three years after moving to Little Rock, AR, the couple welcomed their first and only son Rusty.
Her son and grandchildren remember her as a loving, forgiving, nurturing, kind. patient, humorous, and warmly extroverted mother and grandmother. She encouraged them to pursue Christ. Lois was a skillful switchboard operator and bookkeeper. She was a fun-loving, talkative woman who loved God, and who was passionate about her faith, church, and people. She was an active dedicated member of 1st Assembly of God in O'Fallon, MO and Richland Church of the Nazarene in Yukon, OK. She often volunteered and was an accomplished Sunday school teacher.
Lois is preceded in death by her parents Russell and Florence Faust and her sisters, Juanita Stutz and Joan Faust.
Lois is survived by her husband of 58 years, Gene Knox; her son, Rusty (Karen) Knox; her grandchildren, Brett Knox, Crystal Whitaker, Amber Knox, Jenny Richardson, & Corey Knox; nine great grand children; and her sisters, Sue Deering and Linda Burnett.
In addition to flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Excelsior Springs Church of the Nazarene at 1308 Tracy Ave Excelsior Springs, Mo 64024.
