Lois Marie Stainbrook

Lois was the loving mother of Doug Stainbrook (Andrea) of Kansas City, Kansas and Craig Stainbrook (Dina) of Marion, North Carolina. Lois was the proud grandmother of Zach Stainbrook (Molley) and Evie Stainbrook; four great grandchildren, Jasper, Elliott, Violet, and Luna. She was the sister of Alice Rentrop, Helen Pray, and Fred Dahlberg. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Lois lived a life defined by care, creativity, and connection. For 31 years, she served her community as a Registered Nurse, bringing warmth, expertise, and a healing touch to her patients.

When she wasn't caring for others, she was nurturing the world around her. Her gardens were a testament to her love for growing flowers and plants, turning her yard into a colorful sanctuary. She was a master of details, spending her younger years crafting beautiful quilts, intricate embroidery, crochet, and sewing projects that remain timeless keepsakes for her family. Her spirit of fellowship shone brightly through her active, multi-year involvement with her sorority, Beta Sigma Phi.

Lois loved a good adventure, whether she was exploring the open seas on a cruise or traveling across the country to spend quality time with her siblings. And during basketball season, you could always find her cheering passionately for her beloved KU Jayhawks.

But of all the titles she held, her absolute favorites were Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. Nothing brought a bigger smile to her face than playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will deeply miss her playful spirit and unconditional love.

Her legacy of love, dedication, and joy lives on through her family.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Service at White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Rd., Gladstone, MO 64119 on Monday, July 13, 2026 at 12:00 PM with Visitation from 10:00 AMAM until service time.
