

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Luis Abraham Rizek Rodriguez, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, friend, and faithful servant of God, who departed this life on October 27, 2025 at the age of 76. He lived a life marked by faith, integrity, and service. A man of deep conviction, he dedicated himself not only to his family and his faith but also to the pursuit of justice and compassion.
A devoted family man, Luis cherished his loved ones above all else. He led by example, teaching those around him to walk in faith, act with integrity, and love without condition.
He is survived by his loving wife, Milagros Forner de Rizek; his children and their spouses, Jorge Luis Rizek and Claudia Barraza, Maria Alexandra Rizek and Alexander Moriarty, Maria Corina Rizek and Luis Castellanos, Sassha Esther Rizek and Kevin Acosta, Luis Abraham Rizek F. and Courtney Cavlovic, and Camila Sofia Rizek; his siblings, Esther Rizek, Carlos Rizek, and Arabella Rizek; his grandkids Ana Rizek, Katerina Rizek, Tatiana Rizek, Emiliana Castellanos Rizek, Arianna Cody Rizek, Maximiliano Acosta Rizek, Mikaela Castellanos Rizek, Gabriel Acosta Rizek, Jorge Rizek Barraza, and Alanna Moriarty Rizek; and friends who will forever hold his memory in their hearts.
A wake will be held on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025 at 11:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 PM that will take place at St Anthony’s Catholic Church. A celebration of Luis’ life will take place at The Carriage Club at 5:30 PM; 5301 State Line Rd, Kansas City, MO 64112.
Though his passing leaves a void in our hearts, we find comfort in knowing that he has returned home to his Creator, hearing the words: “Well done, good and faithful servant.” – Matthew 25:23
