Amy and family, I wish you peace and comfort today on this first anniversary of Lynn’s passing. He is missed and thought of often. For me personally, reflecting after one year of him not being here I am reminded what  walking in friendship with others as a Christ follower means and committing to seeing others as my neighbor and finding connection, like Lynn did.  

Having  recently lost someone else very near to me, I am feeling all the feels. Further, my son Alex  will have his Eagle Scout Court of Honor next weekend and we will be thinking of Lynn and the  example he set.

I just recently learned of Lynn, and my heart goes out to his family and friends.  Lynn and I were friends through high school and college.  We had many road trips together.  Like too often life happened and we drifted apart, but I never forgot about Lynn.  I miss you my brother.

I first met Lynn while we were both working at Shuttlewagon and then later we were rejoined at BOSS Railcar Movers.  Lynn was a high quality individual and I along with many others will miss him.  He was the type of person that always placed "others before self" and the kind of guy that was always the same every time I saw him or spoke with him.   Those qualities are not easily found in this day and age.   As I read these kind words from others about Lynn I found myself thinking "yep, that sounds like Lynn" and he certainly made a positive impact on the lives of many, including myself.   

I pondered a long time as what to write about Lynn. When growing up with foster kids, he might be older or younger, he learned to adapt. The foster kids would come and go so when his sister Amy was born, he asked his mother "when is she leaving?" We had to tell him she was staying and that he was her big brother. He was good with that.
I built computers for a number of years after moving to KC. He picked up on that and after graduation became proficient with hardware, software and networks. So when I would forget something, I could count on him to remember.
Working together on his house, we learned a respect for each other and our skill which continued on in his life.
He grew up to make a father proud of his accomplishments, morals and his servant attitude. I will miss him oh so much. See you later son.  Dad

Lynn was such a great nephew.   He was such a happy child.  He loved football but when he was a toddler he could not say football no matter how hard he tried.   He loved coming over next door and playing with Kari.  He was great with all the foster kids and I don’t think he ever had an enemy.   As he became a great young man he was always there to talk and ask how everyone was doing.  Every time we came to Missouri he always made it a point to come over and see us.  His smile and laugh was contagious.  He was so proud of all the work he did and was always willing to tell you about, it, show pictures, and explain anything you didn’t understand. 

I will never forget your kindness and love.  May God hold you in his arms.  

I came to share a memory but there are to many to count and not enough words. My dad was my best friend, teacher, therapist, and most of all my father. He came into my life when I was 3 years old and became the dad he didn't have to be.  He was my whole world and now I'm trying to figure out how to live in this new world with him physically not here. I am so blessed to have been able to call him my dad and my person.  I could always count on him for anything. Between working late and needing to call him to keep me up on my way home to we were just bored and would sit on the phone for hours talking about nothing, each moment made us grow close. I mean who else would of video chat me just so I could watch every Chiefs game in South Carolina. He truly was  an amazing person and will continue to watch over me, Will, and his sweet and spoiled Princess Leia. He has now became one with the force and will forever be my favorite jedi.

December 2020, Christmas at the Harden house hold. Lynn came again with his huge smile, and goofy looking Santa hat, But we always looked forward to it every time. This Christmas was slightly different, after deliberation he had came up with the perfect gift for Leia his granddaughter. Her very first big wheel tri-cycle, Of course some assembly was required. How hard could be to to put together a big wheel that only has four pieces? Note that the boxes recommended assembly time was fifteen minutes no extra tools required, this should be an easy task. Well roughly about fours later, blood being spilt, tools are now broken. In typical Lynn fashion he has now broken about five or six of my drills bits... on a plastic big wheel. Of course this was all done with a smile, on his face, and love in his heart. When this was finally done and presented to Leia her reaction at this bloody plastic tricycle was priceless accompanied by a little two year screech "my bike!". Lynn's face lit up as Leia is now riding this around the house bumping into everything, That night, those hours spent putting this together was amazing and fun. Lynn will always be loved and missed, I will always love you and miss you, Leia will always love you and miss you, Till we meet again brother. Love Will.

There are no words to express how much my brother, Lynn,  meant to me, or the special bond that we shared. I just know that my life will never be the same without him. 

I will always remember when we were growing up how he always looked out for me, and always had my back.  We always had our competitive moments with each other which continued through our adult lives, from TV's, to phones, to cars, to who was the favorite child.  LOL.

After all is said and done, I will graciously say that he won, and I couldn't be more proud of him.  The enormous gift of life that he gave to help another will never be able to be compared. 

I will never forget the huge role that he has played in my boy's lives. From school programs, to birthday parties, and supporting them continually in scouts, he was always there for them whenever he could be. He will continue to be loved and missed each and every day, and  I know he will continue to watch over us. 

What I am most grateful for is that God gave me the gift of being his sister, and for giving me the time that I had with him. "Until I see you again my dear brother, l will hold you close to my heart and mind everyday. You were a true blessing in my life, and I will love you forever."

Thank you for always being the positivity in every room you were in. You were always willing to lend a helping hand to any one, any time . You were always there to listen with out judgement and offer great advice. You have one of the biggest hearts I know. Your energy and laugh was infectious. I’ll always appreciate you being one of the grown ups who’d stay up late, have fun and go out with us kids at the reunions.  I will always remember you taking me out on the boat and taking everyone tubing. I hope you knew how much fun we all had with you. How much we looked up to you. I’ll never forget you teaching me how to kayak in Minnesota. I went out yesterday for the first time since we went. I had so much fun. I wish I could tell you about it. I’ll always think of you when I go. Thank you for helping me learn how to drive when being behind the wheel terrified me. And showing me how to drive fast lol. I’ll always remember you as adventurous. Fear less. Fun-loving and so very positive. I have so much gratitude for you, Lynn and everything you’ve taught me, and all the fun memories we have. Lately you’ve taught me not to take time with family for granted. I miss you. I hope you know this isn’t a goodbye, but a see you later one day. I know you will always be here with us.

I'm still in shock that you are gone.  It doesn't seem possible.  You are one of my earliest memories.  It's from when we lived next door to you in Cedar Rapids.  I don't even think Jen was born yet.  It's of us running down the hill between our yards and then running back up to do it again.  I can remember us belly laughing the whole time.  You were my first friend.  I have so many cherished memories of our times together not only as kids but as adults as well.  Reading through others' posts it is clearly evident you inspired and had a lot of positive influence on people's lives.  A life well lived and one we should aspire too.  You are missed. You are loved.  And your memory will be in our hearts forever.

Lynn was always the guy with a smile on his face and a laugh that filled the room. His energy and kindness was addictive. The last time we were together was at our family reunion in Branson. He had rented a boat and took us out on the lake. Logan and Jack were both very nervous about  tubing because the water was so deep. Lynn made sure to watch the speed and was so careful in the waves. Needless to say they had a ton of fun! That was just his nature. We will miss him so much! Love you!

Lynn Always had an infectious abundant smile for everyone. When your saw that smile, your day was a bit brighter,  your troubles a little lighter.  He seemed to have a way of easily  connecting with everyone, even if you had just met him. Lynn had a compassionate generous heart for his family and his friends and was truly someone you knew was his authentic self.  I will miss you friend. We will have to have that lunch date in Heaven, okay? 

So sad to hear about Lynn's passing. I remember Lynn when he was just a little shaver. My son and Lynn played on a summer baseball team that my wife and I coached. I remember Lynn winning a game with a hit that caused the winning run. I had to remark to myself that Lynn was a very giving and generous sort of young lad. Lynn seemed to express that in his face with his smile. Looks like he carried that through his adult life. Condolences to his mother and dad and the rest of his family. I'm sure he will be missed. Rest in peace and God be with him.

I am one of the lucky ones.  I've known Lynn since the time of his birth.  In fact, for a couple of years I had the pleasure of living right next door.  He was a great big "brother" to my two girls, Kari and Jennifer.  He was loving and accepting to all his "foster brothers and sisters" as well.  He showed a love of others even at a tender age.

I have so many memories of him spending time with his Grandpa Kaiser.  He especially liked spending time fishing with him at the cabin.  I think Dad taught him the love for the outdoors.  We moved and lived several states away, but we always loved getting together for a family reunion.  As Lynn grew older, he loved helping plan and participate in our reunion antics.  I especially have fond memories of him at the Murder Mystery Party, and his leading the family in a game of Minute to Win It.  We can't leave out all the boat rides he gave and, of course, his cheesecakes.  I hope he knows how much the family appreciated his generosity.

The last few years, as we have visited from our home in Texas, it always touched my heart how he would always make time to come over to his Mom and Dad's house and visit with us.  He was always up for a game of cards!  He was full of enthusiasm to share his latest projects at his jobs, what he was working on at Scott's house, and then his own home.  One of my favorite memories was his showing me his Indian outfit he was sewing for scouts.  It was impressive!

If I could only say one thing about my nephew, Lynn, I could sum it all up by saying, he was blessed with a servant's heart.  He added so much love and kindness to the hearts who knew him, but has left a huge hole in the hearts he left behind.

Like many, I got to know Lynn through the Boy Scouts.  It didn't matter that he didn't have a son or daughter of his own participating in our Troop.  He was ready and willing to serve the troop, individual scouts, and with the Tribe of Mic-O-Say.  On a personal level, we had many long talks about scouting, serving, etc.  I'm grateful that in the time we had, I was able to lean on him when my son would struggle at  summer camp or a campout when I could not be there or needed some advice.  I knew I could trust him with my son's best interests.  He had a very jovial and playful side to him as well which always kept the moment light.  Until we meet again brother... when I feel someone tap me on one shoulder, I'll look the other direction, hoping to see you again, and missing you until I can.

I have known Lynn for around 6 years through Scouting, first as an adult leader in the Troop and over the past two years working closely with him as my deputy for the White Coup Society at the Camp Geiger Scout Reservation.  Throughout this short time, I came to know him for his ready smile, positive attitude, and especially his passion for helping others.  His passing left a hole here on earth for the many he has touched and a loss for those he never will touch.  We can only hope to carry on his legacy of service in his honor.  You are missed Lynn.

There are many things about Lynn I m going to miss. We both had a love for the Chiefs. If we were't together to watch the game we would be texting back and forth during the game. He introduced me to Friends and Big Bang Theory. We both watched Survivor and Big Brother. After each episode we would discuss who we liked and who we wanted voted off. Lynn was a talker. He would call us and be on the phone for an hour or more talking about his job, scouts, church or his house. He had so many plans to keep updating his home. I have read all the comments people have posted about Lynn and I am just so proud of the person he was. I am proud to say I was his mom. 

I worked with Lynn for many years at both SW and IQS, he was a stand-up individual and an all around great person to be around.  He always had a positive attitude, a smile and  a happy “hello” every morning. He was a huge asset to our team. He never spoke a cross word of anyone and was always eager to help anywhere help was needed.  He made himself available to help his coworkers, anytime, day or night. Many days he was one of the first to arrive and last to leave. 
He will be sincerely missed. From his work family, he will always be remembered in a bright red Chiefs shirt greeting us from his desk, as we all began our day. 
Our thoughts and prayers go out to his friends and family during these difficult times. 
I am grateful to have known him and to have considered him a friend. 

I am still in shock to hear of Lynn's passing, it wasn't long ago that I saw him at Geiger. He was a dedicated scouter and proud member of the White Coup Society and the Tribe of MicoSay. This is where I met Lynn and he was willing to help anyone. Thoughts and prayers to his family as he will be missed by many, including his Scouting family. Hang on to your memories because he will be greatly missed. His guidance will come from above. We thank him for what he has done for everyone. RIP, my friend.

I first met Lynn as we prepared for our mission trip to Mozambique.  We spent those three weeks together.   One special memory was that Lynn had a star app.  He and I would go out in the most perfect dark, free of any ambient light to enjoy the southern skies.  Lynn was a truly wonderful man.

I’ve known Lynn through Scouting and Camp Geiger. He was one of the kindest and most helpful Scouters I’ve met. He will be greatly missed. Condolences for his family and Scouting family, as well.
