Margaret Katherine Martinez

Margaret Katherine Martinez (née Heider), born on December 15, 1964, in Kansas City, passed away on July 23, 2024, at the age of 59 in Kansas City, MO. Margaret was a vibrant and passionate individual known for being the life of the party, imbuing every gathering with laughter and joy. Her competitive spirit, sense of humor, and love for the outdoors made her a cherished figure among friends and family.

Margaret attended Bishop Hogan High School and dedicated much of her life to her family as a homemaker. She found great joy and fulfillment in her intermittent roles outside the home, particularly as a member of TSA at MCI and a bus driver for the North Kansas City School District. Her hobbies included hosting gatherings with friends and family, walking, camping, gardening, decorating, and maintaining a beautiful yard, each of which reflected her love for nature and her creative spirit.

Margaret leaves behind her loving husband of 40 years Anthony Martinez; daughters, Melissa Atwell (Rusty), Elizabeth Goodman (Mike), and Jessica Martinez (Ronney); sisters, Patricia Brosnahan, Tammy Heider, Christine Heider Solaimanian, and Catherine Newlen. She was a proud grandmother to Sophia, Brooke, Anthony, John, Natalie, Liam, and Q. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Blanche Heider.

Visitation for Margaret will be held from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, with funeral services following at 4:00 PM, at Newcomer's White Chapel Funeral Home & White Chapel Cemetery located at 6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO 64119.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Margaret’s memory can be made to NorthCare Hospice House.
