Margaret "Peigi" Maxine Strode

A beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, Peigi lived a life defined by faith, kindness, and unwavering love for others.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Thomas and Goldie May (Davis) Nelson; her cherished daughter, Marcia Lynn Strode; her brother, Ian Sandy Nelson; and her sisters, Julia Jean Morris and Dianna May Kelly.

She leaves behind her brother, Alexander Thomas Nelson; her daughters, Julie Anne Bottemuller and her husband, Brett, and Lynda Kay Gillespie and her husband, Craig Albers; her grandchildren, David Bottemuller, Jennifer Wolfe, Brittany "Bee" Bottemuller, and Nikolaus Albers; and her great-grandchildren, Layla "Onyx" Bottemuller, and Shade Wolfe, all of whom were blessed by her love and guidance.

Peigi's faith was the foundation of her life. She served others with a generous heart, volunteering for Meals on Wheels and sharing simple acts of kindness, such as baking cookies for those in need. She believed in caring for others and demonstrated that belief through both words and actions. Her lifelong love for children was evident throughout her life and shone through her work as a preschool teacher, childcare center director, and Sunday School teacher, touching countless young lives along the way.

Those who knew Peigi will remember her strength, grace, warmth, and devotion to family. Her love created lasting memories, and her example inspired those around her to live with compassion and faith. While our hearts grieve her absence, we find comfort in knowing she is at peace in the presence of the Lord she so faithfully served.

She was and remains deeply loved, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
