Margaret Elizabeth Tuck

July 28, 1922August 6, 2018

Margaret Elizabeth Tuck, 96, died on August 6, 2018 at the Hospice House in North Kansas City. Margaret was born on July 28, 1922 in West Alton, MO where she lived for 71 years. She graduated from St. Charles High School and then attended Lake View Business College in Alton, IL. After this she went to work for Shell Oil Co. as a biller typist in the Main Office in Roxanne, IL. On April 8, 1950 she married Paul V. Tuck Sr. and they had 43 years together. Margaret was a member of Evangelical United Church of Christ in Godfrey, IL for 59 years. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the VFW Post 4219 in Orchard Farms, MO. In her later years she enjoyed working as a Pharmacy Technician at a Target in the St. Louis area. Margaret moved to Kansas City in 1993 and joined Gashland Evangelical Presbyterian Church in 1994.

Margaret is preceded in death by her parents August and Clara Wagemann, her husband Paul, her son Paul Tuck Jr., and her sister Helen Schmidt.

Margaret is survived by her daughter Joan Dark (Dean); six grandchildren Jason (Amanda), Jennifer, Joshua (Stephanie), Jeffrey (Veronica), Kara (Mark), and Jenna (Rich); and seven great grandchildren. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be on Sun., Aug. 12 from 2 to 4 pm, funeral will be Mon. Aug. 13 at 11 am both at White Chapel Funeral Home, burial will be on Tue. Aug. 14 at Ebenezer Cemetery in West Alton, MO.

Family suggests any memorial contributions be made to Gashland Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 8029 N Oak Trafficway, Kansas City, MO 64118

I'm so sorry for your loss, Joan. Just her name in the paper brought back a flood of memories of Jobs Daughters. She lived a long life and I hope it was happy and surrounded by all those grandchildren. We had Mom living with us her last 5 1/2 years. She passed 8/8/2015, at 91 yrs. She, too, had a wonderful fulfilling life.
My deepest condolences dear old friend.
