Marguerite was born on July 25, 1939 in Boston, Massachusetts to John and Mary (Oliver) DeCosta. She was a second mother to her nieces and was always willing to lend a hand to help in any way she could. She was a licensed practical nurse working for hospitals and doctors offices both on the East Coast and in the Kansas City area. She was an animal lover especially for her dogs and cats. She really enjoyed putting puzzles together, cooking and baking, and being with family.
Marguerite was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Joan Rivers; her brother, John L. DeCosta; her sister-in-law, Carol Maddox; a niece, Joni Maddox.
Marguerite is survived by her husband of 51, Richard; her sister, Lucille Giordano; nieces, nephews, and many extended family.
