Marilyn was born on February 26, 1929 in Sedalia, Missouri to George Donald Rayburn and Hazel Dee Rayburn. She graduated from Green Ridge High School and continued her education at the University of Central Missouri where she studied music. Marilyn married Dale Anderson in 1951. The couple had four children. Marilyn was a dedicated mother and homemaker, who always put her family first. Marilyn loved all sports, from her children’s games to the Kansas City Royals, she had a life long love for music and played the trumpet. She was a charter member of the Meadowbrook United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir for many years.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Dale Anderson, son Kenny Dale Anderson and grandson Donald Luke Anderson.
Marilyn is survived by her children Becky (Gary) Anderson Alley, Kelly Dean (Kim) Anderson, Donald Dee (Kristin) Anderson; sister Marjorie Ellen Johnson; grandchildren Jacob Parrish, Casey Marsch, Nicholas Anderson and Kelsey Anderson; and great grandchildren Waylon Anderson Parrish and Ty Michael and Andy Lea Marsch.
Visitation will be held on June 4, 2021 at 10:00 am at Good Shepherd Church, 2800 NE 64th St, Gladstone, MO, with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 am. A graveside service will follow at White Chapel Cemetery, 6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO.
